When natural lakes are frozen in Austria … 🇦🇹🧊⛸️ We‘ve been lucky this year due to a very cold Winter in Europe, that many lakes are frozen in Austria these past months and you can do some ice skating. Also my childhood playground here in the middle of Salzburg, where my dad used to play ice hockey as a teen and I’ve started my first ice skating activities is finally frozen again this year. This is a really rare occasion and you have to test in various ways in advance before you go onto the ice. I recommend trying only if you are familiar with the area and made sure the ice is thick enough. In addition never go alone and make sure to spot the nearest life-saving boards on the lakeside before heading out. Ice Skating | Visit Austria | Winter in Salzburg
